I touched on this a moment ago, but let’s dive deeper into Geno Smith’s unprecedented surge-up quarterback rankings everywhere. What stands out most with the West Virginia product is his pinpoint accuracy and deathly touch on passes downfield.

His raw counting numbers support this statement, and PFF backs them up even more. The most impressive praise Smith received from the site was a sparkling 99.9 grade on throws 20+ yards downfield. The former Mountaineer threw 14 touchdowns to only two interceptions on such passes, solidifying himself as one of the premier deep ball throwers in the NFL.

Armed with one of the best offensive tackle duos in the league, plus several high-end offensive weapons, Smith has an embarrassment of riches at his disposal.
