The Arizona Cardinals take advantage of the top two selections in the 2024 NFL Draft, grabbing QB1 and WR1 in this egregiously early 2024 NFL Mock Draft.

The dust has settled on what was a very fun 2023 NFL Draft. We got plenty of intrigue leading up, and it delivered. The Houston Texans moved up to land C.J. Stroud and Will Anderson, Jahmyr Gibbs went 12th overall to Detroit (who had a wild draft), Will Levis fell to the second round, and the Pittsburgh Steelers dominated.

Maybe it’s unhealthy to lunge to the 2024 NFL Draft just a couple days after the 2023 draft finished up, but we’re doing it anyway. The 2024 edition of the NFL Draft is sure to draw immediate intrigue, especially at the quarterback position. Both offensive tackle and wide receiver will be better, and another tight end prospect who could push for the top 10 will be under the microscope.

We’re 360 (Leap Year) days away from the 2024 NFL Draft, so what better time to dive into a far-too-early 2024 NFL Mock Draft. Off we go!

Note: This mock draft is following the order given on the PFF mock draft simulator.

1. Arizona Cardinals: Caleb Williams, QB, USC

The Arizona Cardinals had a solid draft, but the roster just isn’t up to snuff to compete in the NFL right now. They should be the leaders in the clubhouse for the number one pick in 2024. It could create a conundrum at quarterback, but Caleb Williams is better than Kyler Murray, and Murray might fetch some capital in a trade.

Caleb Williams is the quintessential number one pick. His arm strength is good, and the arm talent is elite. He can make insane throws on the move, throw with accuracy with different arm angles, and tries throws that don’t make sense. He’s an off-script maestro, and can still operate within the pocket. Williams might even be better than Trevor Lawrence.

2. Arizona Cardinals (via HOU): Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Ohio State

Back to back selections are in the cards for the Cardinals in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft. With DeAndre Hopkins likely gone, and no guarantees for a Marquise Brown extension, it’s time to pair Williams with the consensus top receiver, Marvin Harrison Jr. Harrison has the size, route running chops, and ability to win at all three levels and would create an unbelievable rookie duo in the desert.

3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are rolling with Baker Mayfield, and that likely means quarterback next year. Drake Maye is the next consensus quarterback at the position. Maye is a natural playing the position, throwing with impressive velocity and touch. He can make throws on the move and off-platform, and would come in and immediately elevate the offense.

4. Indianapolis Colts: Olumuyiwa Fashanu, OT, Penn State

The Indianapolis Colts got their guy in Anthony Richardson at quarterback, and Chris Ballard put together a masterclass. Helping Richardson means getting a great offensive line, and while Blake Freeland has developmental traits, Olu Fashanu could lock down left tackle immediately. He returned to Penn State even after likely being OT1 in 2023, and he should be the leader in the 2024 OT1 clubhouse.

5. Washington Commanders: Quinn Ewers, QB, Texas

The Washington Commanders are next to take a quarterback in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft. Sam Howell and Jacoby Brissett is a stopgap duo, so Quinn Ewers is set to takeover in 2024. Ewers struggled quite a bit in 2022, and needs to refine his footwork and mechanics, but the arm talent is absolutely there.

6. Green Bay Packers: Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame

The Green Bay Packers could look quarterback if they pick this high, but in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft, they struggle but see enough in Jordan Love. Both David Bakhtiari and Yosh Nijman could be out in 2024, leaving just Zach Tom as one of the starters. Joe Alt could solidify the other side as a dominant pass protector.

7. Las Vegas Raiders: J.C. Latham, OT, Alabama

The Las Vegas Raiders made a lot of moves in the 2023 draft to help the roster, but none addressed the offensive line. They seem confident in it, but a season of Jimmy Garoppolo getting hit over and over might make them reconsider. J.C. Latham is the next in the long line of offensive tackles from Alabama that should go in round one.

8. Tennessee Titans: Jared Verse, EDGE, Florida State

The Tennessee Titans finally made a big time pick along the offensive line, and got their potential quarterback of the future in Will Levis. Now, they head back to the defensive side of the ball to grab Jared Verse, an ascending edge talent who could’ve declared last year.
