Round 2, Pick 43: Adetomiwa Adebawore, DL/EDGE, Northwestern

The New York Jets have a tremendous defense, there’s no doubt about it. Sauce Gardner is excellent already, Quinnen Williams has found his stride, and the unit as a whole has gelled to be a team that offense stay frustrated to play. A big contributor to that is the play of the defensive front as a whole, so why not continue to add to that to be a unit that consistently generates pressure?

Adetomiwa Adebawore has been a big media riser in this process. His quicks off the ball are spectacular, and he showed in Mobile that he can play with great leverage and generate pushback to collapse the pocket. He must develop a plan as a rusher, where he often gets “stuck” on tape, but the potential is there to thrive in this front.

Round 4, Pick 112: Olu Oluwatimi, C, Michigan

Center is a position that the New York Jets must solve. If Nathaniel Hackett is going to bring his run game with him, a mobile center who can thrive on the move is what’s needed in the Big Apple. Olu Oluwatimi isn’t being talked enough, which seems crazy considering how much regard the Michigan offensive line has been put in the last two seasons. Oluwatimi is a great space blocker who can thrive when pulling, and he has active hands in pass protection.
