Round 2, Pick 42: Cedric Tillman, WR, Tennessee

While Smith-Njigba wasn’t the selection in the first round, day two in the 2023 NFL Draft feels like a strong spot to land another receiver. In this Packers mock draft, it’s Tennessee receiver Cedric Tillman. Tillman brings traits that are similar to Allen Lazard in some regards. He’s a tremendous ball-winner and can adjust and elevate at the catch point to reel in tough passes.

Tillman stays adaptable against press coverage and can be extremely helpful as a run blocker. He doesn’t have top end speed, but he’s hard to track down when he’s built some speed up on a runway. A room of Christian Watson, Tillman, and Romeo Doubs is a strong one.

Round 2, Pick 45: Tucker Kraft, TE, South Dakota State

The Green Bay Packers have a barren tight end room, so it’s possible that they select three tight ends in the 2023 NFL Draft to really transform the room. It starts here at pick 45 with Tucker Kraft. Kraft might not be the guy many are talking about at pick 45, but he’s right up there with the prospects that are often mocked in this spot.

Kraft has a nastiness to him as a blocker, and the size to develop into an impact player inline. Where Kraft will really help early is as a receiver, with the speed to challenge the seam and generate big plays. He’s a very fluid mover and has good route breaks at the position. Where he can really shine is after the catch, where his running back background shows up to provide impressive elusiveness.
