Groot – Darnell Washington, TE, Georgia

The journey of Groot has been mesmerizing to watch throughout the years. Beginning as a fully grown tree man, reverting back to his infant form, and then growing into an angsty teenager. One thing that was consistent the entire time? Groot’s pure and utter strength.

Darnell Washington has owned a gargantuan build dating back to high school, and unlike Groot, there will be zero height and weight regression going forward. Instead, we get to see Washington at the peak of his (and Groot’s power).

The long-armed Bulldog is a force as a run blocker, casually throwing defenders around and clearing lanes for his ball carrier. Washington can also snag passes when asked to do so, showcasing his A+ teammate ability — something Groot would be proud of. He is arguably the best tight end in the 2023 NFL Draft.
