3-Round 2023 NFL Mock Draft: Titans Get A QB, Chiefs Get Scarier
5. Seattle Seahawks: Tyree Wilson, EDGE, Texas Tech
The Seattle Seahawks have clearly been in on the quarterback class, but it could be a smokescreen with Geno Smith set to start in 2023 and beyond. They added some interior pass rush in Dre’Mont Jones, and now they land Tyree Wilson in this 2023 NFL Mock Draft. Wilson has the size, length, and disruption skill set to win on the edge and kick inside when given that opportunity.
6. Detroit Lions: Devon Witherspoon, CB, Illinois
The Detroit Lions have two first-round selections, and the sentiment is it won’t be a quarterback. So, even after signing Cam Sutton and Emmanuel Mosley, there are still long-term openings at corner. Devon Witherspoon has the temperament and versatility to give the Lions a much stronger secondary to start the build up of their leaky 2022 defense.
7. Las Vegas Raiders: Christian Gonzalez, CB, Oregon
The Las Vegas Raiders have a plethora of options at seven in this 2023 NFL Mock Draft. They could pick Levis, but it feels like the Jimmy Garoppolo signing was in reaction to the Panthers move up. Instead, they address the secondary that has been dreadful outside of the play of Nate Hobbs in the slot. Christian Gonzalez is an excellent prospect at corner, with the coverage versatility, fluid hips, great transitions, and ball skills to become a top corner in the NFL.
8. Atlanta Falcons: Jalen Carter, DL, Georgia
The fall of Jalen Carter ends here in this 2023 NFL Mock Draft. The Atlanta Falcons are putting stars next to Georgia guys, and Carter is one. Yes, there are serious things going on off the field, but we know how the NFL handles this stuff. Carter can play and is a blue-chip talent at that. He won’t escape the top 10 and helps form a very exciting defensive line in Atlanta.
