Four quarterbacks go in the top 11, the Seahawks make a trade, and the Chiefs go nuclear in this 3-Round 2023 NFL Mock Draft.

Happy NFL Draft month everyone! We’ve got just 24 days until the Carolina Panthers will start things off and draft their quarterback of the future. There isn’t too much left on the draft schedule. A few more colleges will have their pro days in April, and there will be a few private workouts, most notably from Devon Witherspoon and Myles Murphy. But, other than the classic smokescreen stuff, we’re nearly there.

3-Round 2023 NFL Mock Draft: Titans Go QB, Seahawks Trade, Chiefs Scare

Speaking of the smokescreens, we may have one. The Colts and Will Levis are getting the pairing rumblings once again. While this has been a common pairing for a while, consensus had shifted towards Anthony Richardson. Now, with conflicting reports of falls for both Richardson and Levis, it’s hard to know anything that’s going to go down on April 27th.

With that said, we’re going to do our best to traverse through three rounds in this 2023 NFL Mock Draft, which features the quarterbacks coming off early, a fun Levis landing spot, and the Chiefs scaring us all at the end of round one. Off we go!

1. Carolina Panthers: C.J. Stroud, QB, Ohio State

It’s the classic selection here at number one in this 2023 NFL Mock Draft. The Carolina Panthers have been in on every quarterback pro day thus far, but it feels like the front office, general manager, and coaches are leaning C.J. Stroud. Stroud’s a high-level distributor with excellent accuracy and placement to all levels of the field. His ability to make off-script plays happen was clear against Georgia, and now, build around him.

2. Houston Texans: Bryce Young, QB, Alabama

The Houston Texans really haven’t given any indication of where they’re leaning at this point, even though this pick in every mock draft recently has been Bryce Young. Young’s size is a scary thought a few years down the road after NFL hits, but the idea of him being the field general is tantalizing. He’s creative and has elite escapability, and throws with great anticipation and accuracy. That combination is hard to leave on the board.

3. Arizona Cardinals: Will Anderson, EDGE, Alabama

The Arizona Cardinals want to (and need to) trade out of this pick. With Young and Stroud off the board, the Cardinals don’t get any offers, and are forced to stick and select in this 2023 NFL Mock Draft. Will Anderson is a great talent rushing the passer, as his 142 pressures the last two seasons would indicate. His power, technique, and three-down prowess will start the reloading process on defense.

4. Indianapolis Colts: Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida

The Indianapolis Colts and Levis have been linked recently as mentioned above, but we’re sticking consensus in this 2023 NFL Mock Draft. Anthony Richardson is the upside swing to make for Chris Ballard here, as his ability to maneuver the pocket and see the field elevates his floor as a passer. His ability to avoid sacks is best in show, and he has the rocket arm. Consistency with mechanics is the key to rampant success, and the Colts bet on it.
