Linebackers

The headliner for the linebackers at the NFL Scouting Combine is Clemson’s Trenton Simpson, who has reportedly run in the 4.3s in the 40. Is that likely? No, but if it happens, he’s elevated to Avengers-level with former Clemson star Isaiah Simmons. Simpson might lead the way in terms of numbers for the linebackers.

Drew Sanders is the one most intriguing, and Jack Campbell could be thrown in as well. Both players are likely slated to go in the top 60, but strong weeks from them in every facet will be important. Daiyan Henley got a ton of hype from the Senior Bowl. As for his numbers, it’s a bit unknown.

Auburn linebacker Owen Pappoe is the other that will have folks glued to the television for the 40. Will we see the rumored 4.32? At 225 pounds, that would be an enormously important time for a player likely suited for an overhang/WILL role in the NFL.

Another player who has gotten a hype train recently is Cincinnati’s Ivan Pace. He is also a bit smaller, so he’ll have to operate in space a ton as well. Having a big week is crucial for him too. Henry To’o To’o and Noah Sewell have been very much thrown on the back burner, but they’ll be on the watch list too.
