29. Minnesota Vikings: Clark Phillips III, CB, Utah

Patrick Peterson has provided the Vikings with a big boost on their defense this defense. However, Peterson will be 33 by the time of the draft and is a free agent in the offseason, so bringing in a corner via the draft would be wise.

Clark Phillips III has emerged as a prospect over the season and has built a pretty compelling case for himself to be a first rounder. He has been a ball hawk for the Utah defense has he’s tied for lead in college football in interceptions with six in 11 games.

His versatility to on the outside or in the slot will also be highly valued in the NFL and in this 2023 NFL Mock Draft he comes off the board in the late first round.

30. Kansas City Chiefs: Felix Anudike-Uzomah, Edge, Kansas State

Kansas City may look to move on from Frank Clark next offseason in an attempt to free up some cap room. If that’s the case this draft class is has some good options for them to bring in.

In what is a very talented class for edge rushers Felix Anudike-Uzomah has built a pretty compelling case for himself to be a first rounder and he is in this 2023 NFL Mock Draft.

Anudike-Uzomah has a proven track record of rushing the passer as he consistently wins with power. He is an absolute game wrecker as last season he tied for the lead in the FBS with six forced fumbles. He is capable of completely taking over a game as he has put up multiple three plus sack performances and even had six sacks in a game against TCU last season.

31. Philadelphia Eagles: Christian Gonzalez, CB, Oregon

James Bradberry has been a phenomenal addition to the Eagles defense, however he is a free agent at the end of the season. This combined with the fact that Darius Slay will be 32 by the end of the season, makes it smart long term planning for the Eagles to invest in a corner in the draft.

In this 2023 NFL mock draft they add Christian Gonzalez who was a starter for two seasons for Colorado before transferring to Oregon.  He’s been a good addition to the Ducks defense as he’s been one of the best corners in the Pac 12. Gonzalez projects well to the NFL as an outside corner due to his size at 6-foot-2, 201 pounds, physicality, and ball skills.
