2-Round 2023 NFL Mock Draft: Will Levis To Detroit, Bucs Go RB
9. Chicago Bears: Quentin Johnston, WR, TCU
Justin Fields has flipped a switch for the Chicago Bears, and the offense is humming at midseason. Still, Darnell Mooney and Chase Claypool aren’t enough at receiver. Quentin Johnston is the pick in this 2023 NFL Mock Draft, and his speed, ball skills, and post-catch prowess would fit in well with Fields and the offense.
10. Green Bay Packers: Olumuyiwa Fashanu, OT, Penn State
The Packers will have decisions to make regarding Aaron Rodgers, David Bakhtiari, and Aaron Jones in the offseason, not to mention extensions for Rashan Gary and Elgton Jenkins. Tackle isn’t a position they should sit on with what they have. Olu Fashanu has been dynamite in pass protection this year, and would be great protecting whoever is under center in 2023.
11. Detroit Lions (via LAR): Christian Gonzalez, CB, Oregon
The Detroit Lions need defense after landing a quarterback, and they go right for the secondary in this 2023 NFL Mock Draft. Christian Gonzalez has a serious case for CB1, as his ability to bail and drop in zone coverage is impressive. He has the length to challenge in press and the ball skills to win the catch point.
12. Seattle Seahawks (via DEN): Tyree Wilson, DE, Texas Tech
The Seattle Seahawks are playing impressive ball right now, and with the offense rolling, defense is where they look early in this 2023 NFL Mock Draft. Tyree Wilson has the power, length, and explosiveness to be a first-round pick. His versatility will be welcomed along their defensive line.
13. Houston Texans (via CLE): Bryan Bresee, DL, Clemson
The Houston Texans still land a defensive cornerstone after selecting C.J. Stroud. Bryan Bresee has dealt with injuries in his time at Clemson, but his game-wrecking ability on the interior is what the Texans need right now on defense.
14. Indianapolis Colts: Broderick Jones, OT, Georgia
The Colts need to start attacking premium positions in the NFL Draft, and it starts now with left tackle. Let Bernhard Raimann star the rest of the way to get an idea of what he can be, and if he’s not the answer, address it early in the 2023 NFL Draft. Broderick Jones is a fantastic athlete and space blocker who packs a bunch in the run game and in pass protection.
15. Atlanta Falcons: Peter Skoronski, OT, Northwestern
The Atlanta Falcons could go the luxury route and select the top running back in the class here, but the offensive line needs a boost. Peter Skoronski is technically sound as a pass protector with a high football IQ, and he’s a powerful people-mover in the run game.
16. Washington Commanders: Kelee Ringo, CB, Georgia
After trading away William Jackson III, the Commanders find themselves in need of a corner opposite budding star Benjamin St-Juste. Kelee Ringo is brimming with traits, and while he still needs refinement, his size and speed combination is worth a first-round selection here.
