Round 4, 108th Overall: Mazi Smith, DL, Michigan

There are enough examples of expressing patience with draft picks to give up on Devonte Wyatt so easily. But, with a couple of guys potentially out the door next season (Dean Lowry and Jarran Reed), the defensive line could use reinforcements. Mazi Smith was on Bruce Feldman’s freak list entering the season, and he has so much untapped potential.

His explosiveness can help him attack gaps as a rusher, and he’s a great run defender who plays with impressive power to shed blocks and wrap up. Smith has 11 pressures and 15 stops for Michigan this season.

Round 5, 139th Overall: Ladarius Henderson, OL, Arizona State

With Jenkins potentially gone after the season, it opens the door for the interior offensive line to get some upgrades. Hopefully Sean Rhyan or Tom can break out, but the Green Bay Packers always stay proactive with this. Ladarius Henderson has experience at tackle, something the Packers love, and allowed just nine pressures in 2021. He’s kicked inside this season, and has the size and length to control rushers in a phone booth.

Round 7, 193rd Overall: Davis Allen, TE, Clemson

Only Josiah Deguara is set to be on the Packers roster in 2023, so it’s possible the Packers look earlier in the 2023 NFL Draft for a tight end (Dalton Kincaid, Tucker Kraft), but here is a good spot to get Davis Allen. Allen has the straight line speed to threaten second-level defenders up the seam, and he’s impressive as a run blocker. He’s averaging 13.3 yards per reception and has found a role in Clemson’s offense in 2022.

Round 7, 206th Overall: Viliami Fehoko, EDGE, San Jose State

Kingsley Enagbare is generating some pressure as a third edge in 2022, but the Green Bay Packers still lack some depth at the position. San Jose State has a pair of edge rushers with potential, and Viliami Fehoko is one of them. Fehoko has impressive power and bend to pressure the quarterback in a variety of ways, and he’s generated 20 pressures and four sacks in 2022. Add him to the rotation and keep legs fresh throughout the season and postseason.
