2023 NFL Mock Draft: First Round Projections After Dolphins Lose Pick
9. New York Giants: Will Levis, QB, Kentucky
The New York Giants are a team trending in the right direction with Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen. Picking Evan Neal and Kayvon Thibodeaux signals that, as both can be cornerstones. The only issue is quarterback, as Daniel Jones likely won’t find it in 2022.
I don’t love the idea of selecting Will Levis this early, but this 2023 NFL Mock Draft projects a rise for him. Levis burst onto the scene at Kentucky in 2021, and it’ll be interesting to see how he does without Wan’Dale Robinson.
10. Washington Commanders: Paris Johnson Jr., OL, Ohio State
The Washington Commanders don’t have a lot of needs, and it’s difficult to figure out what direction they’ll go in the 2023 NFL Draft. Offensive line is one that could make sense, as continuing to improve there will help out Carson Wentz, and perhaps (eventually), Sam Howell. Paris Johnson Jr. will take over at tackle this season for the Buckeyes, and has the pedigree and potential to be a top 10 selection.
11. Pittsburgh Steelers: Kelee Ringo, CB, Georgia
The Pittsburgh Steelers got to look at the future in Kenny Pickett and George Pickens on Saturday, but the team still has holes. Corner is one of the positions that’s lacking right now, and Kelee Ringo could be a lockdown corner at the next level with his physical demeanor and straight line speed.
12. Philadelphia Eagles (via NO): Bijan Robinson, RB, Texas
The Philadelphia Eagles are poised to leap this season, and Jalen Hurts looked crisp in his preseason outing versus the Jets. To fully complete the offense, a top tier running back is needed. It isn’t great practice to go running back early, but Bijan Robinson is the exception in this 2023 NFL Mock Draft. Robinson has the vision, contact balance, creativity in space, and receiving skills to be an elite three-down back.
