Will Fuller (Age: 28)

Will Fuller is a former first-round pick out of Notre Dame. The Houston Texans selected him at No. 21 overall in the 2016 NFL Draft. Fuller faces many of the same issues as the other members on this list: injuries. Unfortunately, he’s never been able to put together a full season without a nagging injury hampering him. In fact, Fuller has not appeared in more than 11 games in any season since his rookie season in 2016. Why in the world would anyone sign him? Well, he’s actually very talented and produces when he is on the field.

From 2018-2020, his final three seasons in Houston, Fuller averaged nearly five catches and 70 yards per game. He also hauled in a total of 15 touchdowns in that 29 game span. Following the 2020 season, Fuller opted to take his talents to South Beach, signing with the Miami Dolphins on a one year “prove-it” deal. Alas, the only thing that Fuller proved is that he is, indeed, injury prone. Still, at age 28, Fuller has a chance to revive his career with a bounce back 2022 season. The talent has never been in question, he just needs one more chance and for the football gods to cut him some slack.

Teams that make sense: Vikings, Bills, Ravens, Cardinals

My pick: Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals are expected to be without Deandre Hopkins for the first six games of the 2022 NFL season. After the departure of Christian Kirk this offseason, the Cardinals wide receiver room is in need of more bodies at the position. The newly-acquired Marquise “Hollywood” Brown will help, but can the team count on an aging AJ Green or young Rondale Moore to play at a WR2 level? I predict they bring Fuller into the fold, reuniting him with his former Texans teammate — Deandre Hopkins.
