The AFC West was one of the most competitive divisions in the National Football League last season. The AFC West Champion, Kansas City Chiefs, were one game away from playing in their third straight Superbowl. The Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers were a few knees away from the most improbable tie in history, which would have led to a playoff berth for both teams. However, the Raiders won that game and left the Chargers at home. The Broncos were 7-6 before dropping their last four games.

The 2022 season may be even more competitive in the division with all of the big off-season moves through free agency. At one point, it was hard to keep up with all of the superstars who made their way to the AFC West. There is a strong belief that the team that comes out on top this year may have the best odds of going to the Super-Bowl.

The most surprising part about the new-look AFC West may be from a quarterback standpoint. All four teams have a pro-bowler at the helm and all of them have prime years left to give. The hype surrounding the division is real. This may be the most competitive division in all of football based solely on the signal-callers.
