Rams (8 picks):

3:40 – Logan Bruss, OL, Wisconsin

4:37 – Decobie Durant, DB, South Carolina St.

5:21 – Kyren Williams, RB, Notre Dame

6:33 – Quentin Lake, Safety, UCLA

6:34 – Derion Kendrick, CB, Georgia

7:14 – Daniel Hardy, EDGE, Montana State

7:32 – Russ Yeast, Safety, Kansas State

7:40 – AJ Arcuri, OL, Michigan State

Another draft, another year of the Rams waiting until the end of day two to make their way to the podium for the first time. Few can argue the success of their philosophy, as it directly led to a Super Bowl victory just a few months back.

Sean McVay and company have a great track record of hitting on the few picks that they do have each year, and there are a couple guys that I can see having an impact early on for them from the 2022 NFL Draft.

Logan Bruss has a chance of slotting in as a starter on the offensive line week one, giving the Rams a steady player with a stable floor. Quentin Lake, a safety out of UCLA, is another player that should see the field as a rookie. The Rams don’t have many needs on the roster, but depth and injury insurance at safety is a big one. I’m not crazy about the Kyren Williams pick, but to get him in round five eliminates any risk. Compared to other classes on paper, this one doesn’t stack up, but it is a bit better than the prior two.
