My runner-up for the winner of the 2022 NFL Draft is the Baltimore Ravens. Given the difference in draft capital to start the event, I fully understand if you give the nod to the Ravens over my top team. They added the best safety and best center in the entire class, oh and the best nose tackle and arguably the best punter too.
Sure, none of those positions scream out as premium additions, but to get the top option at all of those spots is unheard of. Additionally, they added a top-15 talent by selecting pass rusher David Ojabo out of Michigan. If he had not torn his Achilles at his pro-day, there’s no chance Ojabo would have made it half as far down the board as he did.
The Ravens wisely took advantage, reuniting Ojabo with his former high school mentor — Odafe Oweh — to form a fearsome duo of pass rushers. Daniel Faalele is the ideal fit for their scheme, and reminds a lot of people of the time that the Ravens took a chance on Orlando Brown Jr. It remains to be seen exactly how these guys pan out, but just strictly going off of my Big Board and my feelings towards their prospects, this gets the highest grade I can give.
Grade: A+
