This extremely exciting offseason is about to reach an exhilarating peak as the 2022 NFL Draft is almost here. Teams are putting together their final big board and bringing in prospects for last-minute private workouts to see where they stack among the other prospects that will be available.  They have had the opportunity to evaluate prospects during the college football season, Senior Bowl, and NFL Combine as well.

An underrated part of this process for teams that don’t get discussed is their plans to possibly trade up or down throughout the draft. Especially early on teams run through scenarios where depending on the way the board falls they may try to move up to select a player or move down because they don’t like the value of the players that will be available at their selection.
