Green Bay Packers 7-Round 2022 Mock Draft: No WR In Round 1?
Round 5, 171st Overall: Braxton Jones, OT, Southern Utah
The Green Bay Packers aren’t done with the offensive line. In fact, they often double dip in the draft at the position. If Goedeke moves inside, getting a true tackle makes sense. Braxton Jones has the size and length to handle things at tackle, and he’s a great developmental option with the athleticism and technique.
Round 7, 228th Overall: Tanner Conner, WR, Idaho State
One more receiver late in the draft here for the Packers, and it’s one with a ton of potential. Tanner Conner is listed at 6’3″ and 225 pounds, and he stood out at the Shrine Bowl winning vertically with speed. He has very good hands and can win as a route runner. A potential super-discounted version of Treylon Burks? Maybe!
Round 7, 249th Overall: Luiji Vilain, DE, Wake Forest
The double dip at edge happens late in this Parkers mock draft, but it’s a good one. Luiji Vilain bounced around to Wake Forest after playing at Michigan, and he had a productive 2021 season with nine tackles for loss and eight sacks. He has the speed to win around the edge and has a phenomenal motor.
Round 7, 258th Overall: Cal Adomitis, LS, Pittsburgh
Special teams late is the name of the game for the Packers. It could be a punter here, but long snapper feels like a bigger need. Cal Adomitis is the one to get in this draft.
