Will the Green Bay Packers pass on wide receiver in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft? This fresh 7-round mock looks at that possibility.

The Green Bay Packers talk has had its stages this offseason. First, it was all about the possibility that Aaron Rodgers would end his career as a Packer on that cold, snowy loss to the 49ers in the divisional round. It was great news that he ended up staying, but the Packers had to make some moves to clear cap. One of the unfortunate casualties was Davante Adams, who was tagged and subsequently traded to the Las Vegas Raiders for picks 22 and 53 in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Then the talk began about how it would be possible to reload at wide receiver. From free agents to trading for young starts to the 2022 NFL Draft, it’s been a wild draft season and it’ll be great when the Packers have made their picks. General manager Brian Gutekunst has stated that there’s a plan to restock the cupboard at receiver.

Green Bay Packers Mock Draft: WR Value On Day Two

Now what could that be? It feels like a wait-and-see approach. It feels unlikely the Packers would be the team to move up into the teens to join a run on receivers rather than capitalize on the value that will fall at other positions because of it. Day two and day three have been sweet spots in the past, and maybe that’s the case again.

In this Green Bay Packers mock draft, we look at the potential worst case scenario for fans, where the Packers avoid a first round receiver due to value. Don’t worry, there’s a plan in place. Let’s roll!
