Los Angeles Chargers 7-Round 2022 Mock Draft: Day 3 OL Barrage
The Los Angeles Chargers get a playmaker early and go on an offensive line barrage on day three in this 7-round 2022 NFL Mock Draft.
The Los Angeles Chargers are right there. They knocked on the postseason door last season, only to fall short on the final game of the season. Still, the positives from 2021 felt immense. Brandon Staley, despite the think-pieces and takes about his fourth down calls, is the leader for that locker room. Justin Herbert is a superstar. Rashawn Slater is too.
Now, the Chargers add a bundle of names to a defense that struggled against the run late in the season. Khalil Mack gives the Chargers a ridiculous edge duo, and J.C. Jackson instantly makes the secondary better. Austin Johnson and Sebastian Joseph-Day should help shore things up on the interior.

In a better place heading into the 2022 NFL Draft, the needs feel clear. They could surprise in the first round by addressing corner, as Staley has talked about not having enough. Unless it’s a trade up for Derek Stingley Jr., it feels unlikely (and now his stock is climbing into the top five). Wide receiver should be high on the list of needs, even with Mike Williams returning. In what will be a hotly-contested AFC, get as much as you can for Herbert in the passing game.
Then there’s the offensive line, which had several issues on the right side. That has to be addressed in the draft. With a bunch of day three selection, this Los Angeles Chargers mock draft features a big commitment to said offensive line.
