29. Kansas City Chiefs: George Pickens, WR, Georgia

The Kansas City Chiefs have two picks at the end of the first round, and it feels like one gets traded if they don’t move up with both. Receiver is an easy pick to make, and it’s the case in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. George Pickens completes a mini-rebuild to try to replicate Tyreek Hill’s production. Pickens is a vertical threat, a phenomenal ball-winner, flashes chops as a route runner, and can make things happen after the catch. He has WR1 potential.

30. **TRADE** Seattle Seahawks: Desmond Ridder, QB, Cincinnati

Seahawks Get: 30, 94
Chiefs Get: 40, 72

The Chiefs do trade the pick in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, and it’s with the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks went with offensive line early, and now get their quarterback of the future. Desmond Ridder round one buzz is happening, and it feels like a good bet now. Ridder’s post-snap processing is pretty good, he has the athleticism, and the belief is the mechanical improvements can help accuracy.

31. **TRADE** New York Giants: Tyler Linderbaum, C, Iowa

The New York Giants make a move to get back in for another first-round selection, and they get to beef up the offensive line a bit more. Tyler Linderbaum isn’t a fit for everybody with his size, but he’s way too talented here. The Giants filled their guard spots, but Linderbaum takes care of an important position.

32. Detroit Lions: Christian Watson, WR, North Dakota State

The Detroit Lions would’ve liked a safety to fall here to 32 in Cine or Hill, but they make an early move at receiver and take Christian Watson in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. Watson has the speed to win deep, and can be used in a variety of ways to create chunk plays.
