17. Los Angeles Chargers: Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State

The Los Angeles Chargers do have a need at offensive tackle, but without much value here, why not give more help to Justin Herbert in the passing game? Chris Olave would bring the element the offense is missing as a deep threat, plus he’s a phenomenal separator who does all the little things well to stay creative in his stem.

18. Philadelphia Eagles: Trent McDuffie, CB, Washington

The Philadelphia Eagles seem to be locked in with defensive line and receiver in the first round, but the script goes a bit off-book in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. Even though his arms are shorter, teams apparently love Trent McDuffie. McDuffie is a phenomenal coverage guy with the motor, instincts, and tackling ability to make an impact immediately.

19. New Orleans Saints: Lewis Cine, S, Georgia

Wait, it’s not a receiver for the Saints?? Nope, not in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. It may shock people here, but safety isn’t exactly set in New Orleans. Marcus Maye is coming off an achilles injury, and losing Marcus Williams hurts. Lewis Cine has the processing skills, versatility, and physicality to fit perfectly with Dennis Allen’s defense.

20. Baltimore Ravens: Jermaine Johnson II, EDGE, Florida State

After a classic Baltimore Ravens trade back, they still get good value here at pick 20 in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. Yes, Odafe Oweh is great, but getting him a good running mate is a great idea here. Jermaine Johnson II gives the Ravens contrasting styles on the edge, and he’ll be able to play on all three downs immediately because of the strength to hold the edge against the run.
