13. Houston Texans: Jordan Davis, DL, Georgia

The Houston Texans load up on value in the first round of this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. After landing Gardner at three, they get a stud in Jordan Davis at 13. There’s a question about three-down value, but with his size, power, and ridiculous athletic testing, don’t overthink selecting him early. Davis will make an instant impact on the interior in stopping the run, and allow the Texans to keep an extra defender in the secondary.

14. **TRADE** New York Jets: Drake London, WR, USC

Jets Get: 14

Ravens Get: 20, 69

The New York Jets trade down to get some more value next draft (and spread out their capital like the Eagles) and still have plenty to get back up before the big receiver run starts. They land Drake London here, filling out the types in their receiver room in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. London has the ability to win at the catch point, after the catch, and underneath to beat press. The separation narrative is blown out of proportion, and he gives Zach Wilson another great target.

15. Philadelphia Eagles: Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State

The Eagles may not get a traditional “X” here, but they go with their third receiver in the first round in three years by selecting Garrett Wilson. Wilson is a three-phase winner who can separate at will, especially against off-coverage where he can work into opponents’ blind spots. He’s very good at the catch point for his size, and is slippery after the catch.

16. New Orleans Saints: Charles Cross, OT, Mississippi State

What a perfect scenario for the New Orleans Saints in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. They could’ve moved up, but they get a stud here in Charles Cross. Cross can fill the void from Terron Armstead at left tackle. He’s got the footwork, recovery skills, and anchor to hang in pass protection against any rusher thrown at him.
