Seattle Seahawks 2022 NFL Mock Draft: Round 4, Pick 109

Zyon McCollum. 109. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. CB. Sam Houston State. 36

The fourth round is a great place to find diamonds in the rough. This is where teams can take top talent from lower levels that might have slipped through the first three rounds and that’s exactly what the Seattle Seahawks find in this 7-round 2022 NFL Mock Draft with Zyon McCollum in the fourth round.

There’s a lot to like about McCollum. For starters, he stands at 6-foot-2, giving him good size to matchup against bigger NFL receivers. Then, at Sam Houston State, he earned the recognition of being a ball hawk in the secondary with 13 interceptions and six forced fumbles. The icing on the cake was his 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, logging a time of 4.33 along with a 39.5 vertical jump.

McCollum’s size and athleticism paired with his ability to get his hands on the ball make him an intriguing prospect. Coming from Sam Houston State there’s concern for how his game will translate to the NFL and if he can cover more talented receivers.

McCollum’s on field production and high football IQ make for a great find in the fourth round. He might not begin as a starter on defense, but can grow into a role of that magnitude over time.
