The Kansas City Chiefs moved on from wide receiver Tyreek Hill and safety Tyrann Mathieu this offseason, but now hold a slew of picks in the 2022 NFL Draft. This article highlights ten players that the team could target round three or later.

The Kansas City Chiefs are witnessing a bit of a retooling of sorts this offseason. They obviously still employ the best quarterback in the league, Patrick Mahomes. Not only that, but Andy Reid is as good as they come and has proven that you should never doubt him. Still, it is crucial for the Chiefs to continue their success in the later portion of the draft.

Over the past few seasons, general manager Brett Veach and the top-tier scouting staff in Kansas City have routinely found starting caliber players in rounds three through seven. Some of those gems include: offensive lineman Trey Smith (6th round; 2021), cornerback L’Jarius Sneed (4th round; 2020), and Lucas Niang (3rd round; 2020). The contributions from these guys, along with the early-round picks have played a pivotal role in the success of the team.

This year the Chiefs are equipped with two third-round picks (No.94 and No.103) and two fourth-round picks (No.121 and No.135). They also have four picks in the seventh and final round. Those picks go as followed: No.234, No.244, No.252, and No.260.
