3-Round 2022 NFL Mock Draft: QBs Go Early and Often

I’ve been on this wave for a while, but it seems as though the entire draft community has hopped on the bandwagon. It is hard to blame them. Even though Jameson Williams could miss some time, the thought of Keenan Allen-Mike Williams-Jameson Williams is mesmerizing. Justin Herbert might just break the passing yard record for a single season.

The former Greek national Water Polo star, George Karlaftis, is still fairly new to the nuances of the position. Upon arriving in the States nearly a decade ago, Karlaftis excelled every step of the way to this point. The Eagles could use a difference maker with youth to rejuvenate their pass rush that stagnated too often in 2021, with only the Falcons ranking lower in team sacks.

New Orleans started their offseason nearly $70 million in the hole. The Saints pivoted to Kenny Pickett at quarterback, and find Armstead’s replacement with Charles Cross. Cross figures to be a decade-long starter in the NFL and a value pick in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft.

The Jets like George Fant, but he is nearing his 31st birthday and is only under contractual control through the 2022 season. Trevor Penning is a bully on the football field, and I say that with affection. He plays through the whistle every snap. Landing in a spot like New York keeps Penning from being forced into early action. He can place himself among the best at the position if he refines his overall technique in pass protection. Penning also provides insurance in the event that Mekhi Becton and the team remain on unsteady footing.
