3-Round 2022 NFL Mock Draft: QBs Go Early and Often
By Hunter Haas
The same thing I said about Stingley applies here for Kyle Hamilton. Hamilton did not test out as freaky as everyone expected, and due to this it caused many to go back and rewatch the film with added context. I still found a guy with great traits, even if he’s not the “unicorn” that he was labeled to be during his time with Notre Dame. Leaving day one with Ikem Ekwonu and Kyle Hamilton will have Texans fans feeling good about the future for the first time in a couple years.
Is Jordan Davis only a two-down player in the NFL? Maybe. Does he have the potential to be the best player on the field every snap that he plays? Definitely. If you can lock in a guy that will be the best player on a majority of the snaps, while filling a massive need on the roster, you do it 100 out of 100 times. Welcome to Baltimore, Jordan Davis.
This will mark the third straight draft in which Howie Roseman takes a wide receiver in the first round. Jalen Reagor did not live up to those expectations, but former Heisman Trophy winner Devonta Smith showed he belonged last season. Bringing in another polished route runner in Garrett Wilson should guarantee that one of Wilson or Smith is open on any given play.
The Seahawks need a true impact player that they can build around on the edge, and they get that guy in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. Last Chance U star, Jermaine Johnson, is as impactful as they come from a pass rushing standpoint. He will bring his vaunted bullrush with him to Seattle, as well as an ever-improving array of other pass rush moves. A great fit with an attitude the franchise, fans, and teammates will love.
