As I said, the Buffalo Bills could really be one big piece away from being the Super Bowl favorite. To me, that piece is another lockdown corner alongside Tre’Davious White to shut down opposing offenses. in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, the Buffalo Bills trade up with the Washington Commanders to land LSU standout Derek Stingley Jr.

Washington lands an additional top 100 pick this year and a second-rounder next year to slide down with the Buffalo Bills. Brandon Beane makes a splash and gets a second LSU Tiger to shore up his secondary.

If it weren’t for injuries, Derek Stingley Jr. would be a sure-fire top five pick, as he was once viewed as just a freshman. Even after missing significant time as a sophomore and junior in Baton Rouge, Stingley showed his athleticism and explosiveness at his pro day.

As a potential lockdown corner, Stingley has the size, length, speed, athleticism and physicality to become one of the best players in the NFL. With White on the other side, the Buffalo Bills could have on the best secondaries in the league. Bolstering the secondary has to be the priority for this Bills team, and making a splash and landing a player like Stingley would be monumental for their team this season.
