2022 NFL Mock Draft: Panthers, Steelers, Lions All Take QBs In Round 1
By Evan Bachman
29. Kansas City Chiefs: Skyy Moore, WR, Western Michigan
After trading Tyreek Hill it’s very likely the Chiefs will use one of their two first rounders on a receiver. It’s nearly impossible to replace Tyreek Hill’s production, however I think Skyy Moore would be a good fit in Kansas City’s offense.
Moore is undersized at 5-foot-10, 195 pounds but he still brings a lot to the table. He’s got the speed to stretch defenses as he ran a 4.41 40 yard dash at the combine. He’s also a consistent separator, and has good ball tracking ability.
30. Kansas City Chiefs: George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue
With their other first round pick the Chiefs will likely look to the defensive side of the ball and they could use another edge rusher. It appears like the NFL is lower on George Karlaftis than the media is, however I still see him as a top 15 prospect in this class, so this would be excellent value in this 2022 NFL mock draft.
Karlaftis is very projectable as a power rusher as he’s got good size with long arms and can win his pass rushes with strength and power. Karlaftis raised eyebrows his freshman season and he registered eight sacks and this season he has gotten to the quarterback with consistency, registering 54 pressures in 12 games.
