Jahan Dotson. player. Scouting Report. WR. 37. 10. Pick Analysis. Penn State

The Houston Texans just reached an extension with Brandin Cooks which will help their wide receiver room, but they are going to need more than just Cooks. Addressing the offensive line in the first round, as well as the secondary, can allow the Texans to take a first round talent in Jahan Dotson in the early second round of this 2022 NFL Mock Draft.

Figuring out how to rank this wide receiver class will be a tall task for any front office. There’s a lot of potential across the board and finding the players that could pan out the best will be tough. Receiving comparisons to Emmanuel Sanders, Dotson has the ability to do a little bit of every thing. He can be a deep threat or slot and make plays all over the field. For a team like Houston, who is in need of playmakers, this would be a nice fit in the second round.

30. CB. Florida. Kaiir Elam. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 38

As I said just a few picks ago, the New York Jets are going to need a strong secondary to stop the other teams around the AFC East. Lewis Cine was a good starting point, but more talent will be needed from this draft class.

Kaiir Elam put together a great 2020 season and while 2021 wasn’t quite as good, he was still impressive. The big stat for Elam is his passes defended. He was able to log 11 in 2020 over 12 games before having another five in 10 games this past season. If that level of production can translate to the NFL, that would be a huge addition to the Jets’ secondary.
