3-Round 2022 NFL Mock Draft: Jets Move Up, Steelers Trade Up For QB
The Arizona Cardinals have found success with Washington defensive backs before with Budda Baker and Byron Murphy. Why not go back to the Huskies to add to those other pieces in their secondary.
Trent McDuffie measured in undersized with short arms, but his tape is very impressive. He is very physical and can line up inside or outside at the cornerback position at the next level. The Cardinals need another solid piece for their secondary and McDuffie seems like a perfect fit and provides great value at this point in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft
After the departure of Connor Williams in free agency (and even before), the Dallas Cowboys really need to add a starting right guard. Kenyon Green will slide right in perfectly. Green is a powerful run blocker and a technical pass protector who has been tested at the highest level in the SEC.
After watching the Buffalo Bills battle Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in last year’s playoffs, it is clear that the team needs to bolster their secondary. Tre’Davious White should come back healthy, still as one of the best young corners in the league, but they need someone alongside him and nickeback Taron Johnson.
Kaiir Elam seems to be overlooked as a top corner prospect in the 2022 NFL Draft. Florida has been churning out lanky and athletic cornerbacks in recent years, and Elam is no exception. He has the potential to be a solid outside, lockdown corner and would be a great get for Sean McDermott’s defense.
The Tennessee Titans could go many different ways with this pick. In this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, the go with the best player available and add another talented disruptor to their defensive line. Alongside Jeffery Simmons, Devonte Wyatt should thrive at the next level. He is an experienced and developed player who can beat offensive lineman in a variety of ways. His size, strength and explosiveness make him a dangerous player on a talented defensive line.
This would be a home run pick for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who could lose a few defensive linemen to free agency. The team drafted an edge rusher in Joe Tryon-Shoyinka a year ago, but George Karlaftis brings a different skillset to the table. He is a very powerful rusher who can line up on the edge or bump inside to create mismatches. New head coach Todd Bowles would love to add a guy like Karlaftis to his defense.
