After trading away their 2022 NFL Draft first-round pick, the Cleveland Browns will shift their focus to pick 44 as their first selection.

The Cleveland Browns and general manager, Andrew Berry, made the biggest move of the NFL offseason, trading for controversial quarterback Deshaun Watson. In doing so, the team gave up their first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft (among other picks). Now, the team will look to pick 44 in the second round as the first opportunity to add to their roster later this month.

While the Cleveland Browns may not be done making moves in free agency, it is clear when looking at the teams roster where the weaknesses are heading into the 2022 NFL Draft. To me, their are three glaring needs: wide receiver, defensive tackle and defensive end.

If the Cleveland Browns are able to bring in a couple more players at these positions prior to the 2022 NFL Draft, they may not be as caged into addressing those specific needs. Even bringing back a couple of their own guys, such as Jarvis Landry and/or Jadeveon Clowney, could really open up their options, especially early in the draft.
