Round 5, 165th Overall: Tyquan Thornton, WR, Baylor

The wide receiver room isn’t necessarily one that absolutely needs help, but in this Raiders mock draft, we look for the missing element. Adams and Renfrow will dominate in the short and intermediate area, and Waller will threaten down the seam. The Las Vegas Raiders did sign Demarcus Robinson, but getting more speed in the room is that element of a true deep threat.

Tyquan Thornton turned heads by running a 4.28 40-yard dash at the scouting combine. The Baylor receiver and track star has the goods to win deep, but he also has the wingspan to provide a good catch radius along with good hands and ball skills to win consistently at the catch point. He won’t be pressured to be a main target as a rookie, and can be the guy to create space underneath.

Round 7, 227th Overall: Jean Delance, OT, Florida

We finish out this Las Vegas Raiders mock draft with another addition on the offensive line. Brandon Parker will likely be the right tackle in 2022, but with little to no depth behind him, getting potential on day three is a smart call.

Jean Delance is absolutely worth a look here. He has easy power and pop in his hands, and combined with the core strength and overall power profile, gets after it in the run game. His footwork is a little choppy, but he has the anchor and can reset his hands to maintain leverage against pass rushers.
