Wide Receiver. 13. player. 10. Pick Analysis. Scouting Report. Ohio State. Garrett Wilson

After finally executing a trade to get Deshaun Watson on the move and out of Houston, the Texans were able to land the 13th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. With it, the options are endless. The Houston Texans could use just about every position. It seems the team likes their 2021 third-round pick, Davis Mills, at quarterback, so in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft they go with a wide receiver for him to throw to.

Garrett Wilson is a very dynamic wide receiver who really does everything well. He is a crisp route runner with great release off the line and sudden breaks at the top of his routes. He has outstanding hands and can go up and get any ball thrown in his direction. With the ball in his hands, Wilson is a quick and powerful runner with a deadly stiff arm to fight for extra yards.

For Houston and Davis Mills, having a player like Wilson would be huge. Especially if the team is able to retain Brandin Cooks, the duo would provide the young gunslinger a couple very reliable targets to help with his growth and development.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player. Cornerback. Washington. Trent McDuffie. 14. 26

After the most recent move by the Cleveland Browns, the Baltimore Ravens will have to make some impactful move to keep up with the Joneses in the AFC and the AFC North. The Ravens could go in a variety of directions with this pick, but in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, they go with a versatile cornerback.

Last season, injuries plagued the Ravens, particularly in the secondary. This offseason, Baltimore seems dedicated to adding to that secondary, already signing former New Orleans Saints safety, Marcus Williams. With Marlon Humphrey, Marcus Peters and Chuck Clark there as well, adding another quality player like Trent McDuffie would round up a very stout secondary needed to compete in the powerhouse AFC.

The Ravens could deploy Trent McDuffie in a variety of ways. He is a very tough player that makes life miserable for whoever is across from him. He is a bit undersized, but he showed impressive speed at the combine and the tape shows the type of player that he can be. He plays with sound technique, great instincts and is a solid tackler. McDuffie is exactly the type of player that the Baltimore Ravens would value and would be a great pick for them in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
