Utah. 21. player. Devin Lloyd. 47. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Linebacker

This pick makes a ton of sense for the New England Patriots. Even after trading for Mack Wilson and re-signing Ja’Whuan Bentley, the Pats are set to lose both veteran linebackers Jamie Collins and Donta Hightower in free agency. An uber talented, do-it-all player like Devin Lloyd seems to be a perfect fill-in.

Devin Lloyd is an incredible player. He is a very aggressive, downhill player who makes a ton of plays at or behind the line of scrimmage. He is a sound and physical tackler whose tape shows the speed and athleticism to make plays sideline to sideline. Much like Micah Parsons a year ago, Lloyd enters the draft with the versatility to play off the ball and to rush the passer. Lloyd is not nearly as polished as Parsons was coming out of college, but they have similar play styles.

Bill Belichick should love the opportunity to bring in a dynamic, young linebacker like Devin Lloyd in the 2022 NFL Draft. He has a couple of seasoned veterans on the way out, and would not have to invest a ton of money in the position. Lloyd should fit in well on the Patriots defense and would make an impact right away.

Treylon Burks. 49. Pick Analysis. Wide Receiver. Arkansas. 22. player. Scouting Report

With a pick that the Green Bay Packers recently acquired in a deal with the Las Vegas Raiders for star receiver, Davante Adams, the team brings in another dynamic weapon for recently extended quarterback, Aaron Rodgers.

Treylon Burks had been one of the 2022 NFL Draft’s biggest risers heading into the combine. Burks jumps off the tape with his speed, athleticism, toughness and versatility. The problem? His testing at the combine and his pro day did not reflect that like his tape does.

I am not one to be a prisoner of the moment when it comes to what some call “The Underwear Olympics”. It is certainly something to pay attention to, and should be taken into account, but I don’t think that defines a player. There have been plenty of successful NFL wide receivers that didn’t test well but were still able to display their athleticism and play speed on the field.

To me, Treylon Burks is the type of weapon that NFL offenses are looking for. He is a solid route runner, has great hands, is outstanding with the ball in his hands and has shown the speed to finish plays on tape. Don’t forget, Burks was incredibly productive this season, dashing his way through SEC defenses. Yes, even Alabama.

I think this is a perfect opportunity for the Green Bay Packers to FINALLY get Aaron Rodgers the help that people have been begging for, for him, through the draft. Burks can be utilized in a ton of ways by Matt LaFleur, and will complement the deep threat of Allen Lazard very well in 2022.
