Cleveland Browns: 2022 NFL Mock Draft after DeShaun Watson Trade
After trading away their first round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and passing on a wide receiver in the second round, the Cleveland Browns make a bit of a move to lock in a player that will fit incredibly well in their offense.
With Western Michigan playermaker, Skyy Moore, falling slightly in this mock draft compared to where he has been trending upwards into the second round as of late, the Cleveland Browns had to strike. In The Draft Network’s Mock Draft Machine, Cleveland was able to get the 65th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft from the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for pick 78 and 202.
The way that the current Cleveland Browns offense is constructed, Skyy Moore would be a perfect addition. As someone who says he feels that he will excel in the slot in the NFL, Moore would slide in alongside newly acquired Amari Cooper and 2020 sixth-round pick, Donovan Peoples-Jones.
Lining up in the slot, Skyy Moore presents a real matchup nightmare with his quick release and suddenness at the top of his route. Moore has great hands and is not intimidated to take some big hits over the middle of the field.
While Moore can make an impact on the outside as well, he will be tasked to fill the shoes of Jarvis Landry as the slot receiver in the Kevin Stefanski led offense. With just Cooper, Peoples-Jones, 2021 rookie Anthony Schwartz and newly signed return man Jakeem Grant the only receivers on the roster, drafting a player like Moore will be essential for the growth and development of this offense with new quarterback, Deshaun Watson.
