George Karlaftis. 15. EDGE. Purdue. player. 54. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

George Karlaftis is not quite as flashy as some of the other edge rushers in this class, but he potentially is the most “pro-ready” of them. That term is a bit taboo in draft circles, usually being viewed as a backhanded compliment. I mean no disrespect by saying it, because I believe Karlaftis still has a lot of room to grow too.

He possesses grown man strength and is surprisingly polished for a guy who has only played organized football for such a short period of time. Philly is a great landing spot in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, giving him the ability to start immediately but not be under so much pressure with veterans surrounding him. After adding Haason Reddick via free agency, the Eagles should feel good about their pass rushers after this selection.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Charles Cross. player. OT. Mississippi State. 16. 56

The Bengals have aggressively been looking to add talent to the offensive line group. Following a surprising Super Bowl run, it is vital for the front office to build a wall to protect their franchise player — QB Joe Burrow. Jonah Williams has a lot higher potential at his natural position of right tackle, so let’s slide him back there. Free agent interior linemen Alex Cappa and Ted Karras provide steady play on the inside.

The question becomes: Charles Cross or Tyler Linderbaum? Linderbaum is undoubtedly one of the best players in this draft — regardless of position. However, he plays center and due to his size, that looks to be the only position he will play. As good as he is, I can’t justify passing on a left tackle with the potential of Charles Cross. He held down the left side during his time at Mississippi State and has top end potential for the position. Don’t overthink this one, pay the price to come up and get Cross right before the Chargers and Saints are on the clock.
