Detroit Lions: Myles Jack, Bobby Wagner Top Free Agent Target List

Detroit Lions Free Agent Target #1: Myles Jack, LB
The Detroit Lions are going to lose Jalen Reeves-Maybin and while Alex Anzalone will return, there’s still a strong need for a linebacker on this roster. The loss of Reeves-Maybin will leave a hole in the middle of the defense in Detroit and they will need a proven player to take over that role moving forward.
A couple weeks ago the linebacker market wasn’t the best on paper. There were some players out there, but it’s nothing compared to now. The recent moves of the last few days has opened more avenues for linebacker-needy teams to explore.
Myles Jack was one of those players let go. The Jacksonville Jaguars made a plethora of moves in the first couple days and that tightened the purse strings, meaning they needed to cut other contracts. Jack was the one let go.
When on the field, Jack has been a strong player. He’s logged over 100 tackles each of the last two seasons, and that includes missing two games each season. The problem is staying on the field. Over the last three seasons, Jack has missed nine games. However, the on-field results are hard to ignore.
We’ll see what type of contract Jack is looking for, but if it’s in the price range of the Lions he would provide a huge boost to this defense.
