Round 3, Pick 94: Quay Walker, LB, Georgia

Quay Walker is a guy that is going to outplay his draft status, regardless of where he goes. Pick 94 is the farthest I can see him falling. The team drafted Nick Bolton in the 2021 NFL Draft to head the linebacker unit, and in 2022 they pair him with a guy that does a little bit of everything. Quay will be used as a blitzer, but has the coverage chops to hold his own. Much like Creed Humphrey falling to the Chiefs last offseason, NFL fans are going to wonder how 31 other teams passed on Quay Walker. The Kansas City Chiefs benefit again.

Round 3, Pick 102: Alontae Taylor, CB, Tennessee

Alontae Taylor is the type of high-ceiling player that the franchise likes taking a chance on in the middle rounds. They found starting cornerback L’Jarius Sneed in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, so the track record is there for finding legitimate starters outside of the first 100 picks. Taylor is a great athlete, but is still raw in the technical aspect. He must improve his technique to avoid being a penalty magnet in the NFL.
