2022 NFL Mock Draft: Round 1, Pick 15 (Philadelphia Eagles)

Scouting Report. Georgia. Travon Walker. 15. player. Pick Analysis. EDGE. 54

With three first round picks, the Philadelphia Eagles have the opportunity to make a huge dent in their rebuild process. They start that process on the defensive side of the ball after a lackluster pass rush in 2021.

The Eagles finished the 2021 season with just 29 sacks as a team. Only the Atlanta Falcons had fewer. With that being said, Philadelphia needs players who can immediately impact their pass rush. Travon Walker can do that.

Walker broke out during the 2021 season, registering 7.5 tackles for loss and six sacks at Georgia. With multiple pass rushers set to enter free agency for Philly, Walker can fill the void and improve this unit.

Philadelphia Eagles trade #16 to the Pittsburgh Steelers for #20 and other future selections

Pick Analysis. QB. Pittsburgh. player. 55. Scouting Report. Kenny Pickett. 16

The Pittsburgh Steelers need a quarterback for the future. It’s not Mason Rudolph and it’s not Dwayne Haskins. While the Steelers could stay put and hope for Kenny Pickett to fall to them, jumping up ahead of the New Orleans Saints could be the best option to secure their quarterback of choice.

Pickett is obviously familiar with not only playing at Heinz Field, but having success there. He’s recently received concerns about his hand size, but didn’t Joe Burrow have the same complaints? Not saying Pickett is Burrow, but that shouldn’t be the reason any team changes their plans.

Pittsburgh hasn’t had a history of taking first round quarterbacks very often, but majority have worked out rather well. Pickett has the potential to be the next one.
