2022 NFL Mock Draft: Round 2, Pick 61 (San Francisco 49ers)

Pick Analysis. DT. Florida. Zach Carter. Scouting Report. 61. player. 42

The San Francisco 49ers have consistently had a strong interior to their defensive line, but they could be losing some pieces this offseason. D.J. Jones, Kentavius Street, Jordan Willis and Arden Key are all set to enter free agency, meaning new faces could be entering the fold in San Francisco.

Zach Carter is great at making big plays. He logged 11.5 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks in 2021 after having nine and five, respectively, in 2020. The barrier for him is the other plays. Despite the ability to make plays in the backfield, he tallied just 35 tackles in 2020 and 31 in 2021.

For the 49ers, they can work on the consistency factor while the big plays will be a nice addition to an already dangerous defensive line.

2022 NFL Mock Draft: Round 2, Pick 62 (Kansas City Chiefs)

62. Arnold Ebiketie. EDGE. Penn State. player. 124. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

The Kansas City Chiefs are in the wonderful position of being able to add players with some rough edges but high potential and that’s exactly what this pick would be. With Melvin Ingram and Alex Okafor both becoming free agents, the Chiefs need more pieces in their pass rush.

Transferring to Penn State from Temple for his final season, Arnold Ebiketie put up big numbers at Penn State in 2021. He posted 18 tackles for loss along with 9.5 sacks. However, experience could cause him to fall. He played just 28 college games and that includes 12 in 2021. He might need some time to get up to NFL speed, but the raw talent is clearly there.
