2022 NFL Mock Draft: Round 1, Pick 5 (New York Giants)

Charles Cross. 5. 31. Scouting Report. Mississippi State. OT. player. Pick Analysis

The offensive line for the New York Giants seems to have been an on-going project for the last handful of seasons and that will continue into the 2022 NFL Draft. Nate Solder, Will Hernandez and Billy Price are all set to become free agents this year, allowing the Giants to reform this offensive line  how the new regime wants.

One addition the new front office will want to explore is a new, young tackle to play opposite Andrew Thomas. Solder was a bit disappointing with the Giants and finding new blood at this position would be huge. While Charles Cross might not be in the Neal-Ekwonu conversation, he isn’t very far behind.

2022 NFL Mock Draft: Round 1, Pick 6 (Carolina Panthers)

Georgia. Pick Analysis. DT. Jordan Davis. 6. player. 87. Scouting Report

Few players drew as much attention at the NFL Combine has Jordan Davis. His electric 40-yard dash turned heads across the NFL and one team that loves defense in the draft is the Carolina Panthers. With Derrick Brown already on the line, Davis could slide in next to him, giving Carolina a Top-10 NFL Draft interior defensive line.

The Panthers are losing Daquan Jones this offseason, which is where Davis would slide in. Davis already was getting Top 10 attention before the Combine, but his performance there could propel him into this spot.
