2022 NFL Mock Draft: Round 2, Pick 53 (Las Vegas Raiders)

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Sean Rhyan. OT. UCLA. 53. player. 28

The Las Vegas Raiders are set lose multiple offensive line pieces, including two starters. Richie Incognito and Brandon Parker could both leave, which would leave holes at left guard and right tackle. Like many second round offensive lineman, Sean Rhyan doesn’t have a set position yet on the line, but should translate to an offensive guard.

Rhyan’s strength is in his run blocking, which should help a Las Vegas running game that ranked 28th during the 2021 season. He’s still a bit raw, but for a late second round pick he should provide solid value to the Raiders.

2022 NFL Mock Draft: Round 2, Pick 54 (New England Patriots)

Scouting Report. DT. DeMarvin Leal. 54. 47. Pick Analysis. Texas A&M. player

The offseason has been a rough road for DeMarvin Leal. He was arrested early in the offseason for marijuana possession and then had a below-expectations Combine performance. His size leaves questions about the right fit for him, is he a defensive tackle or a defensive end? Sounds like the perfect Bill Belichick pick.

Belichick loves to take players who are falling in the draft with high potential and that’s exactly what DeMarvin Leal would be at this point in the draft. New England will be able to take his skill set and find a fit for him in their defense. Once viewed as a top-10 talent, this should be another pick added to the long list of Belichick draft steals.
