2022 NFL Mock Draft: Round 2, Pick 51 (Philadelphia Eagles)
The Philadelphia Eagles used two of their three first round picks on the defense and they return to that side of the ball here. After going with an edge rusher and cornerback earlier, the Eagles turn to the part of the defense not yet addressed, linebackers.
Christian Harris was a consistent and steady player for the Crimson Tide during his three seasons. Over his three seasons, he totaled 220 tackles, including 26 tackles for loss and 10 sacks while appearing in 40 games.
That amount of experience paired with the production that Harris was able to provide make him an intriguing prospect that could be swept under the rug a bit. He played on a great defense and wasn’t a flashy player, but his consistency could be a nice addition in Philadelphia.
2022 NFL Mock Draft: Round 2, Pick 52 (Pittsburgh Steelers)
After investing in a new quarterback during the first round, including moving up a few picks, the Pittsburgh Steelers will need to protect that investment. The Steelers could lose their entire right side of the offensive line after losing their center and starting left tackle last season, meaning Pittsburgh could be entering a whole new offensive line era.
Nicholas Petit-Frere is an offensive lineman that can play nearly anywhere on the line. He’s been able to show his ability in multiple facets of the game and has the tools to become a solid blocker at the NFL level. Finding his exact fit on this line will come in time, but that versatility will help Pittsburgh fill in the gaps.
