2022 NFL Mock Draft: Round 1, Pick 27 (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

Pick Analysis. WR. 48. Scouting Report. Alabama. Jameson Williams. 27. player

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers could be in a state of limbo for a year or two, similar to how the New England Patriots were a season ago when they too lost Tom Brady. As of now, there isn’t a clear plan for Tampa Bay at quarterback, unless it’s Kyle Trask, and other free agents could depart the team. This could allow them to plan for the future a bit during the 2022 NFL Draft.

Jameson Williams will most likely miss most, if not all, of the 2022 season after his injury during the College Football Playoff. However, he could provide an option for the Buccaneers if Chris Godwin leaves after the 2022 season. Godwin was franchise tagged by the Bucs and Williams could play a similar role in this offense once healthy while saving Tampa Bay cap space to play the same spot on the field at what should be a similar level.

2022 NFL Mock Draft: Round 1, Pick 28 (Green Bay Packers)

Pick Analysis. OL. player. Scouting Report. Texas A&M. Kenyon Green. 28. 49

Now that the Green Bay Packers have Aaron Rodgers locked in for another four years, the front office can focus on building around him rather than trying to balance the team of now and the team of the future.

Elgton Jenkins will be back, which will help the line, but there are still questions regarding the line for the Packers, especially if Billy Turner doesn’t return due to cap issues. Kenyon Green is one of the top interior linemen in this class, but has experience playing right tackle. He’s a bit more of a run blocker, but would make a solid addition to this line in Green Bay.
