2022 NFL Mock Draft: Round 1, Pick 25 (Trade)

Buffalo Bills trade #25 to the Atlanta Falcons for #43 and #47 (acquired in earlier trade)

After moving down from their spot in the top eight to 11, the Atlanta Falcons now use the second pick from that trade to jump back up into the first round and grab a quarterback. Here, there’s less pressure on the quarterback to start right away, but the team still benefits with the fifth year option.

Matt Ryan has two years left on his deal, so taking a quarterback that needs some time to iron out a few things could be the play. Even if Desmond Ridder doesn’t take a snap until the 2024 season, he would still have three years left on his rookie deal at that point.

Ridder has the tools and skill set to be a dynamic NFL quarterback, he just needs time. The Falcons could have the key to their future with this pick, especially if they grant him the time he needs to learn and adapt to the NFL.

2022 NFL Mock Draft: Round 1, Pick 26 (Tennessee Titans)

Utah. Devin Lloyd. player. 35. Pick Analysis. LB. 26. Scouting Report

Devin Lloyd and Nakobe Dean are neck and neck to be the top linebacker in this class, so it would make sense that Bill Belichick and someone from his coaching tree would be the teams to select the pair. Like Dean, Lloyd has the ability to make plays all over the field and captain any defense.

The Titans could lose a few pieces from their linebackers room, including Rashaan Evans and Jayon Brown. Taking Lloyd to step into a starting spot seems like the best route for this Tennessee defense. Lloyd is more than NFL ready and could be a steal this late in the first round.
