2022 NFL Mock Draft: Round 1, Pick 19 (Philadelphia Eagles)

CB. Andrew Booth Jr.. 19. player. 54. Pick Analysis. Clemson. Scouting Report

The Philadelphia Eagles secondary could receive a massive hit this offseason. There’s a chance that the Eagles could lose both starting safeties and a starting cornerback, meaning they will need to use a first round pick to address that part of the field one way or another.

Andrew Booth Jr. has the ability to find the ball on any play. Over the last two seasons at Clemson he tallied five interceptions and nine passes defended. Those skills combined with his 6-foot frame give him the ground work to grow into a productive player for this Philadelphia defense.

Jason Kelce is now set to return to the Eagles in 2022 on what is essentially a one-year deal for $14 million. Kelce is now under contract for 2022, but he will be 35-years old could end up retiring after the season. Philly looks to get ahead of the curve and find a replacement now rather than wait, and in doing so get the top center in the class.

Tyler Linderbaum is the best available of this class. He’s a natural center with the space blocking, explosion, and vision to pick off second level defenders, and could sit for a season and be the next one up in 2022 to keep the line intact without missing a beat.
