Round 5, 151st Overall: Cam Jurgens, OL, Nebraska

Yes, a double down on the offensive line is also essential for the Seattle Seahawks. The center position will be a fascinating one for Seattle this offseason, and how they address it will give us a good hint as to what the offense will look like in the short term and long term.

If Shane Waldron wants to get more into the Sean McVay book on offense, an athletic center with zone familiarity is huge. Cam Jurgens would be a great add on day three, as he has the athleticism and explosion to thrive reaching and getting out in space when necessary. He also plays a tough brand of football and could be a leader on this unit quickly.

Round 5, 152nd Overall: Kolby Harvel-Peel, S, Oklahoma State

Yes, the Jamal Adams debacle remains an issue for the Seahawks, but outside of him and Marquise Blair (whose contract expires in 2023) there isn’t much on the back end of the defense. Kolby Harvel-Peel has the size, range, and ball skills to thrive in single high and deep half coverage, where he can use his eyes and range to close ground and force turnovers.

Round 7, 226th Overall: Zach VanValkenburg, DE, Iowa

One pick on the defensive line didn’t feel like enough for the Seattle Seahawks, and they double down on the edge here, taking what could be a great value pick on day three in Zach VanValkenburg. He’ll be on the bigger side at defensive end, but he plays strong at the point of attack and brings a high motor on every play. His processing skill are really well-developed on top of it.
