How do the Seattle Seahawks move forward after trading away Russell Wilson and releasing Bobby Wagner? This mock is one way.

In short order, two of the biggest dominoes in the offseason took a tumble. After Aaron Rodgers announced he was staying in Green Bay, the Denver Broncos pounced, trading for long time Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. The deal send two first and second round picks and three players to Seattle, including tight end Noah Fant and quarterback Drew Lock.

Seattle now moves into a rebuild, where they need to have more than Wilson, a couple strong receivers, and a linebacker who thinks he’s a safety. This will prove the mettle of Pete Carroll and John Schneider and if they can replicate what they did at the beginning of the 2010s. It’ll take every ounce to build back up into a contender.

Seattle Seahawks Mock Draft: Roster Reload

The good news is that the Seahawks have recouped a couple first rounders that should help things out. Things have to change at the top of the draft though. Whether it’s Carroll sticking his nose in too much or not, going running back or a major project at defensive end isn’t the way.

The passing game weapons are in place, save if they move either D.K. Metcalf or Tyler Lockett. Fant gives them a reliable weapon up the seam who can threaten defenses after the catch. They’ve got a potential star at one of the linebacker spots in Jordyn Brooks, but the defense needs a serious facelift.

Let’s look at who the Seattle Seahawks could select in the 2022 NFL Draft with this fresh Seahawks mock draft!
