Round 4, Pick 114: Brian Asamoah, LB, Oklahoma

The Denver Broncos get their much needed facelift at linebacker by adding Quay Walker and Brian Asamoah. The addition of the two will make the position go from a weakness to a strength of the defense. Asamoah has a nose for the ball and a motor that doesn’t quit.

Round 4, Pick 115: Verone McKinley, Safety, Oregon

McKinley is a rare day-three pick that should be able to contend for starter reps opposite Justin Simmons immediately. The best option, however, is learning for a season behind Simmons and a veteran placeholder. McKinley has long-term starter potential if his traits are developed properly.

Round 5, Pick 144: Obinna Eze, OT, TCU

It may be a bit of a surprise to see this position taken so late in the draft. My gut says that a veteran will start at right tackle in 2022 for the Denver Broncos, but Eze is the perfect developmental piece to invest a day-three pick on. TCU players are known for their ability to adjust to the NFL with relative ease. He’s a mauler in the run game with traits to become a full-time starter.

Round 7, Pick 247: Zach Tom, OL, Wake Forest

Tom played all over the line for the Demon Deacons. He is a valuable piece to have for the offensive line, offering the ability to fill in at any spot. He could potentially stick as a starter at center, at minimum becoming a great bench piece behind the much-improved Lloyd Cushenberry.
